6 Days Tibet Tour with Namtso Lake

In this tour package, you can have a chance to discover the four famous monasteries in Lhasa and explore the Namtso Lake which is one of the three holy Lake in Tibet.
Day 1 Arrive in Lhasa
Your guide will pick you up at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. You are free for the rest of the day. You can have a good rest at the hotel or walk around the hotel.
Day 2 Sightseeing in Lhasa
This is the first day of sightseeing in Tibet. In the morning, we will visit the famous Potala palace which is the landmark of Lhasa. it was first built by 33rd King Songtsen Gangpo in the 7th century and rebuilt it later in the 17th century by 5th Dalai Lama, now it is a museum and world heritage site.
In the afternoon, we will go on visit another famous temple in Tibet, Jokhang Temple. Jokhang Temple is located in the center of the old Lhasa City. Jokhang Temple is one of the most sacred temples in all over Tibet and it is always bustling with earnest local pilgrims since from early days.
In the evening, you can walk along Barkhor Street. Barkhor Street is also a good place to buy souvenirs.
Day 3 Sightseeing in Lhasa
This is the second day of sightseeing in Lhasa. We will go on exploring the famous Monasteries in Lhasa. In the morning, we will explore the Drepung Monastery. Drepung Monastery is the is the world’s largest monastery that housed for more than 10,000 monks. It was also the resident of the Dalai Lama in the past.
In the afternoon, we will visit Sera Monastery. The highlight of Sera Monastery is the Buddhist debating. The Buddhist debating held in the courtyard between 15:00 – 17:00 from Monday to Saturday.
Day 4 Lhasa- Namtso(4718m)- Dangxiong, 340km, Approx. 6hrs
Today, we will go to Namtso Lake. Namtso Lake. We will drive along the Qinghai Tibet Railway. On the way to Namtso Lake, you will get a far view of NyenchenThanglha Snow Mountain.
In the afternoon, you will arrive at Namtso Lake. Namtso lake is one of the three holy Lake in Tibet. It is also the highest altitude salt lake in the world, the furthest depth being more than 33m. You can trek along the Namtso Lake to enjoy the sunset of Namtso Lake.
In the evening, we will back to Dnagxiong as there is no accommodation at Namtso Lake from this year.
Day 5 Dangxiong-Lhasa
Today we will back to Lhasa. On the way, you will visit Yampachen Hot Spring. Yampachen lies just south of the Nyainqêntanglha Mountains, famous for Yampachen Hot Springs, at an altitude of 4290–4500m making it the highest altitude set of hot springs in China. Both indoor and outdoor swimming pools have been set up here, in which visitors can enjoy a bath.
Day 6 Lhasa departure
Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport.
